The Scent of Pure Linseed Oil Soap
Pure linseed oil soap has a character all its own. Its scent evokes clean, raw linseed-earthy, warm, and entirely natural. Some say it carries the essence of summer; others call it the very smell of natural cleanliness.
For me, as a Swede, it is the quintessential aroma of a tidy home, carrying with it a whisper of history. My husband, if you asked him, would say it’s his absolute favorite of all our scents.
Beyond its subtle, nostalgic fragrance, pure linseed oil soap is a kitchen essential. It cleans without masking odors, ensuring that no hidden bacteria linger on your cutting board. A truly honest, natural choice for a genuinely clean home.
Balsamea – Warm, Resinous, Herbal
Balsamea is a warm, resinous fragrance centered on frankincense, enriched with aromatic hints of rosemary and mejram, and brightened by a subtle touch of bergamot. A trace of patchouli adds depth and earthiness, rounding out the composition.
The scent is complex yet balanced—grounded and natural, with a calm herbal freshness. It invites a sense of clarity and warmth, making it perfect for everyday spaces and moments when you want a quietly uplifting atmosphere.
Lavender – Classic and Alpine
All-round home cleaner, enriched with premium lavender essential oil, including a high-altitude variety from the French Alps. Lavender is traditionally said to have antibacterial and cleansing properties, and its fresh, herbal aroma helps create a naturally clean-feeling home environment.
Lemon & Juniper Berry – All-Round Home Cleaner
A fresh blend of lemon and juniper berry, traditionally said to have uplifting and refreshing qualities. Lemon is valued for its degreasing properties, helping to cut through everyday grime, while juniper berry adds a crisp, aromatic note. Together, they create a naturally clean-feeling home environment with a bright, fresh scent.
This is my personal favorite for the kitchen, but when it comes to cutting boards, I would always advise using the pure version. That way, there is no risk of masking the natural odors that could indicate bacterial growth, ensuring the surface is truly clean.
Cedar wood – All-Round Home Cleaner
Red Cedar has a warm, woody, and distinctly dry aroma that creates a clean and natural atmosphere. The idea for this blend came after I interviewed wool producers and hat makers about how they maintain their workspaces. Many explained that part of their traditional cleaning routine, when working with natural fibers, was to clean surfaces with a soap blend containing red cedar.
While this product is not marketed as an insect-repellent, the insights from these long-standing studio practices inspired the development of our Red Cedar cleaner. It offers a clear, comforting cedar scent that feels especially at home in workspaces, wardrobes, and storage areas.
