Natural cleaning 2.0
it's all about care

We are happy to help!
Såpa is the Swedish word for liquid soap. When made from linseed oil, it contains natural fatty components traditionally appreciated for nourishing porous surfaces such as wood, stone, and tiles. However, laminate floors and lacquered wood have closed surfaces that won’t absorb these benefits. On such materials, såpa should only be used in a low concentration as a general cleaner.
Since surfaces and treatments vary, please feel free to contact us if you’re unsure - we’re always happy to help. And as with any cleaning product, test first on a small, discreet area.
Our cleaners and natural soaps are designed for general household use, but effectiveness and results can differ depending on how and where they are used. Please avoid mixing the product with other cleaning agents unless explicitly stated. Customers are responsible for ensuring the product is suitable for their intended purpose, and we cannot accept liability for damage, discoloration, or other issues resulting from incorrect application, unsuitable surfaces, or use beyond our recommendations.

SÅPSKURA
“Såpskurning” (soap scrubbing) is a traditional Nordic method for caring for wooden floors - especially pine and spruce. Instead of using oil, lacquer, or wax, the surface is cleaned and nourished with natural soap, ideally linseed oil soap. Linseed oil is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, particularly linolenic acid, which can partially polymerize on the wood surface.
When you clean with linseed oil soap, a small amount of these fatty acids remains in the fibers, gently penetrating, nourishing, and reinforcing the wood. Over time, repeated cleaning builds up a subtle, natural protective layer that helps repel dirt and moisture, while leaving the floor with a matte, soft, and beautifully even surface.
Unlike soaps made from olive or rapeseed oil, linseed oil soap is uniquely suited to wood: it not only cleans but also conditions and strengthens the fibers, making it the traditional choice in Nordic homes.

Cleaning almost any floor with Såpa
Add a small splash of såpa to warm water - about 1–2 tablespoons for a bucket. Mop as usual, and don’t rinse; just let the floor dry naturally.
Såpa gently cleans without stripping the surface and leaves wood and stone beautifully cared for. Works just as well on tiles and painted floors too.
Simple, natural, and kind to both your home and the environment.
But Remember: Like with any treatment, always test on a small area before full application.

How to soap treat a new floor
Make the soap solution
- Mix with cold or lukewarm water:
- First treatment: 1 part linseedoil soap to 10 parts water.
- Regular cleaning: later, 1 tablespoon in half a bucket of water
Follow the instruction for Soaping floors below.

how to:
Soaping / Såpskurning
- Use a floor brush or soaping machine.
- Work soap solution into the wood along the grain.
- Leave to rest for 10–15 minutes, but do not leave the water too wet.
- Scrub gently again, then remove excess liquid with a mop or sponge.
- Let the floor dry completely (preferably overnight).
Repeat this procedure 2–3 times for new floors to build up the protective soap layer.
The floor will get lighter and smoother after each round. Over time, with regular cleaning, the soap will make the wood more resistant ant less sensitive.
